Kharagpur Robosoccer
Students Group
Formed by a passionate cohort of robotics visionaries hailing from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, the Kharagpur Robosoccer Students' Group (KRSSG) emerged in August 2009 with a resounding mission
to craft autonomous soccer-playing robots that redefine the limits of technology.
Our inception was marked by a trailblazing moment – participation in the RoboCup @ India Challenge, a pioneering event in South East Asia that welcomed India into an exclusive global league of only 18 nations. This debut set the stage for our relentless pursuit of innovation and excellence.
Fuelled by our growing expertise, KRSSG's transformation into a research group was guided by esteemed professors from diverse disciplines. Our collective goal is to construct and explore cooperative multi-agent systems thriving within dynamic and adversarial environments. Our sights are set on several international events and conferences including FIRA and RoboCup . These aspirations drive us to continually push boundaries and evolve our robotics prowess. KRSSG stands at the forefront of robotics advancement, redefining possibilities one autonomous step at a time.
Pioneering Robotics Excellence with KRSSG
Our Work
Pushing the Frontiers of Robotics Innovation
At the core of KRSSG's embedded prowess lies a group of dedicated engineers who design and construct the intricate electronic circuits that breathe life into our robotic creations. Armed with an intimate understanding of microcontrollers, sensors, and communication protocols, the Embedded Team crafts the neural pathways that empower robots to perceive, think, and act autonomously.
Our mission encompasses mastering a spectrum of soccer skills, from basic locomotion like running and walking, to intricate maneuvers like getting up, sprinting, and precise kicking. Beyond individual prowess, we delve into high-level strategies that enable our robots to collaborate seamlessly, mirroring the dynamism of human teams. This pursuit extends beyond the soccer field, inspiring innovation for applications ranging from rescue missions to hazardous environments. In every calibration and play, we're crafting robots that embody the essence of soccer while pushing the boundaries of robotics excellence.
Our Mechanical Team stands as the powerhouse behind the magic, intricately designing, fabricating, and optimizing every physical component that brings our robotic dreams to life. With precision engineering guided by CAD modeling, they forge stability through meticulous analysis, ensuring our robots stand firm on the soccer field. Their mastery over materials research yields innovations that blend strength and durability, while their collaborative spirit seamlessly integrates electronics. Beyond the field, their impact resonates, extending innovation's reach across industries. With each creation, the Mechanical Team carves a future where technology and imagination unite in tangible brilliance.
